Meet Dr. Saub

Dr. Ed Saub

“I pride myself on providing personal and friendly care. I am dedicated to fully educating you about your eye health needs, protecting your privacy, and striving to be your partner for a lifetime of good vision.”

Dr. Edward Saub is a Stanford-trained, San Jose eye doctor providing personal and informative eye exams, eye surgery, botox treatments, and more.

Ophthalmology is a second career for Dr. Saub. It was his fascination with vision and interest in helping people see better that prompted him to go to medical school after ten years working in business finance.

His father was an optometrist and his mother a nurse, so it was natural for him to pursue medicine, too. He earned his Doctor in Medicine at the University of California, Irvine College of Medicine in 1997.  He was awarded membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society for his high academic achievements.

He completed Internal Medicine internship at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center.

Dr. Saub specialized in Ophthalmology at Stanford University, where he completed residency and was chief resident in ophthalmology in 2000-01. Dr. Saub is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Saub is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Medical Association, the California Medical Association, and the Santa Clara County Medical Association.

Dr. Saub purposefully schedules appointments to allow sufficient time for him to get to know you and for you to get to know him. He believes that taking time to answer your questions and to have a meaningful exchange is important to your healthcare.
